Roots to Wings Boutique Pre-school children learn to respond to emergencies
Roots to Wings Boutique Pre-school continues to be inspired by the Learning Through Play and Reggio Emilia teaching methods.

The children of Roots to Wings Boutique Pre-school in Noordwyk received a visit from Midrand police and ER24 to learn about safety, emergencies, and the role of emergency responders in keeping the community secure.
The visit on October 27 was an eye-opening experience for the children as they learned about emergency numbers and basic first aid.
The officers’ dedication to public safety and their willingness to educate the children about their crucial roles in the community was truly inspiring.

During the visit, the children were given a hands-on demonstration of emergency response procedures, which provided valuable insights into the importance of preparedness.
The informative sessions helped familiarise the children with what to do in case of emergencies and promoted awareness of public safety.
Leandie Pansegrouw, the preschool manager, expressed her gratitude towards the officers for their dedication to public safety and their willingness to educate the children.
Pansegrouw also said the visit helped foster a positive relationship between the learners and emergency responders.
