To secure NYDA funding, a Business Management Certificate was a prerequisite that the Halfway House-based entrepreneur initially needed to gain.

Meet Teboho Chesane, a 31-year-old residing in Halfway House, whose unwavering passion for biokinetics has been the driving force behind his inspiring journey in the world of healthcare and wellness.

Chesane’s quest for excellence began with attaining an honour’s degree in biokinetics from the prestigious Tshwane University of Technology.

Teboho Chesane runs a thriving biokinetics practice, TC Therapy Society.

His remarkable journey with TC Therapy Society took an exciting turn when he stumbled upon the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) while exploring potential funding opportunities for his business online.

To secure NYDA funding, a Business Management Certificate was a prerequisite that Chesane initially lacked.

However, instead of being discouraged, he embraced this challenge and enrolled in the NYDA Business Management training programme.

Upon successful completion of his training, Chesane seized the opportunity to apply for grant funding from the NYDA.

This grant proved instrumental in expanding his business, enabling him to acquire essential equipment that significantly elevated the quality of services offered by TC Therapy Society.

Throughout this journey, Teboho’s ambition and dedication were bolstered by the invaluable guidance he received through the NYDA mentorship programme.

Today, the TC Therapy Society stands as a testament to Chesane’s unyielding commitment to his vision.

The practice now proudly boasts one permanent staff member and two temporary staff members who share Chesane’s commitment to biokinetics and his dedication to enhancing the well-being of their clients.

But Chesane’s aspirations reach far beyond his current success. He envisions the establishment of five more biokinetics practices in regions outside of Gauteng province, driven by his eagerness to share the benefits of his expertise with a broader audience.

His story serves as a shining testimony of how determination, education, and support from NYDA can empower young entrepreneurs to make a positive and lasting impact in their communities and beyond.
