The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall partners with Chloorkop Primary School for KHUMO project
The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall KHUMO project aims to help empower the staff and the learners of Chloorkop Primary School to create a lasting impact through a variety of mentorship initiatives.
The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall recently announced its campus’ three-year Kid Heroes Under the Mentorship of Others (KHUMO) partnership with Chloorkop Primary School.
This collaboration stems from a long standing relationship where some of the varsity college Bachelor of Education students have engaged in valuable teaching experience placements at the school.
The KHUMO project is committed to uplifting underprivileged primary school children by fostering local empowerment. The initiative will leverage the expertise of the Waterfall campus staff, lecturers, and students to provide mentorship and support tailored to the specific needs of Chloorkop Primary School.

The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall’s student wellness specialist Nzulu Skosana will conduct a detailed needs analysis, in collaboration with Chloorkop Primary’s management, to identify areas for further development.
The aim is to help empower the staff and the learners of the primary school to create a lasting impact through a variety of mentorship initiatives.
