Residents took to the streets on June 28, blocking off Modderfontein Road, which is the main entrance to the township.
Today, police attempted to disperse residents, who continue to burn tyres, firing rubber bullets, tear gas, and stun grenades into the crowd.
After police ran out of ammunition, the residents pelted them with stones until they retreated and eventually left.
Shortly after that, a police Nyala came through, in an attempt to scatter the crowd, however, the residents continued to throw stones at the van, while running for cover.
Soon, a second Nyala arrived, with police continuing to fire rubber bullets and tear gas into the crowd.
