Vorna Valley association gains momentum
The executive committee of the Vorna Valley Residents Association believes 2025 redefined community spirit among community members.
“When we look back on 2025 in Vorna Valley, we see a year defined by neighbours coming together to build a cleaner, greener, and more connected community.”
These were the words of the Vorna Valley Residents Association (VVRA) executive committee as they reflected on the year that was.
The committee said it’s proud to channel that energy into tangible results, and they wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to every resident who played a part.

“This year was a foundation for future success. At our annual general meeting [AGM], we welcomed new committee members, bringing fresh ideas and energy.
We also took a significant step forward by officially registering as a non-profit company [NPC], strengthening our ability to act on your behalf.”
During its AGM at the Swiss Club on June 12, Neels Conradie, VVRA chairperson, said it was unanimously agreed the association will transition from a non-profit organisation to an NPC.
This was done to assist VVRA to be better positioned to receive tax-deductible donations, apply for grant funding, and expand its capacity to undertake projects that benefit the broader community.
They said they were also thrilled to see their membership grow.

“Our most visible success has been the Greig Road Garden Initiative. What started as an idea blossomed into a reality with the erection of bollards, the planting of trees, and regular community clean-ups.
This initiative is a perfect example of what we can achieve together. While we’re not yet at the level we need to be, this growing support is what fuels every project we undertake.”
The committee wishes all Vorna Valley residents a joyful, safe, and peaceful festive season.
“May the new year bring you and your loved one’s happiness. Just remember, to continue this positive momentum, and tackle even more projects in 2026; we need your help.”
