Officers from the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Northern Region Task Team recovered a stolen vehicle in Ivory Park on January 19, following swift action based on intelligence received.
According to a statement released by EMPD, officers were on duty when they received information from a vehicle tracking company about a silver-grey Hyundai Tucson that had been reported stolen in the Buccleuch area.

Acting on the intelligence, the task team followed GPS coordinates supplied by the tracking company, which led them to an area in Ivory Park. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle abandoned.
No suspects were located at the scene at the time of recovery.
