One suspect wounded, three on the run
Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for the suspects who fled the scene after a shootout in Rabie Ridge.

A shootout ensued between the police and a group of suspects in Rabie Ridge, resulting in the fatal wounding of one suspect and three fleeing the scene on November 7.
According to Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, the police received information about the whereabouts of suspects who were wanted for cases of armed robberies in Ekurhuleni.
Acting on this information, the police proceeded to a house in Rabie Ridge, where the suspects were believed to be hiding.
“As police were entering the house, the suspects started to shoot at them, and a shootout ensued,” said Masondo.
The Tactical Response Team was called in to provide backup and support to the police.
“As a result, one suspect was fatally wounded while the others managed to escape.”
Upon searching the house, the police recovered three unlicensed firearms, six magazines, and more than 90 rounds of ammunition.
“These firearms will be subjected to ballistic testing to determine if they were used in any previous crimes.”
The police have launched a manhunt for the suspects who fled and are urging anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts to come forward and assist with the investigation.
