ElevateHer looks to expand horizons for the future
One of the key highlights of ElevateHer’s journey this year has been its partnership with the Johannesburg Business School Innovation Lab.
ElevateHer is proud to have made a significant difference in the lives of youth, achieving remarkable milestones in youth entrepreneurship development this year.
A key highlight was empowering 570 young people through a partnership with the Johannesburg Business School Innovation Lab, which enabled ElevateHer to help them transition from dependency on handouts to developing entrepreneurial mindsets.
Anthea Windvogel, founder and CEO of ElevateHer, emphasised that, given the high rate of graduate unemployment, the organisation focused on equipping youth with practical tools for self-generated opportunities, highlighting resilience, innovation, and problem-solving skills.

“We also offered a free workshop for local youth during the winter school holidays, which had a lasting impact. Even after the workshop ended, participants continued to apply entrepreneurial principles in their daily lives,” she noted.
Additionally, ElevateHer launched after-school entrepreneurship clubs for learners aged seven and above, fostering early business thinking and helping them acquire essential skills to turn their passions into profits.

Next year, ElevateHer plans to expand its outreach by introducing tailored programmes for more schools and communities.
“Our goal is to grow our after-school clubs, providing immersive entrepreneurial experiences to ignite creativity, curiosity, and confidence from a young age. We also aim to deepen our collaboration with the Innovation Lab, enhancing support for youth through hands-on training, mentorship, and community-driven projects.”

Windvogel expressed eagerness to establish partnerships that bring innovative, locally relevant solutions to communities across South Africa.
“Our commitment is to unlock potential and transform passion into tangible impact sustainably, contributing to a future of empowered, self-sufficient young entrepreneurs.”
Windvogel extended her gratitude to the Midrand Reporter and other partners for providing a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their work.

“We also thank the Johannesburg Business School Innovation Lab and Grit Lab Africa for their support and commitment to empowering youth through entrepreneurship,” she added.
“Additionally, we appreciate the local schools and communities that have supported our after-school programmes, helping us engage eager young minds. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the parents, volunteers, and mentors who invest their time, energy, and belief in our mission.”
