Purple Lounge partners with Nitro Crew for a successful Nitro Crew Bonnets and Bunnies Car Show

The combination of high-performance vehicles and flavourful Indian cuisine made for an unforgettable experience that resonated with a diverse audience.

Purple Lounge restaurant hosted a successful car show in partnership with Nitro Crew Car Club on March 29.

The event, aimed at automotive enthusiasts and food lovers, attracted large crowds and created a festive atmosphere that combined high-performance vehicles with rich Indian flavours.

Named the Nitro Crew Bonnets and Bunnies Car Show, the event featured various competitions, including a sound contest, a show-and-shine contest, and a bunny chow competition.

Enthusiasts showcased their prized vehicles while attendees enjoyed roaring engines, impressive car displays, and Purple Lounge’s signature dishes.

Speaking to Midrand Reporter, the owner of Purple Lounge Strini Moodley, shared the inspiration behind the event.

“The purpose of the car show was to gain traction, create exposure for our brand, and invite people to experience one of the finest Indian dining experiences in the area. We wanted to boost our business while providing a platform for car lovers to connect and compete in a safe and controlled environment,” Moodley said.

The support from local car enthusiasts and businesses greatly contributed to the event’s success. Moodley noted that the car show aligned with the more than 13-year-old restaurant’s mission to unite people over great food and memorable experiences.

He expressed gratitude to attendees, stating, “We are thrilled with the outcome and appreciate everyone’s support. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to hosting even bigger and better events.”
