Rabie Ridge’s Brave Lions FC make it out of a hostile environment
The victory of the Brave Lions FC is always sweet, as they conquer through the semi-finals, leaving them with nothing but joy and excitement for the finals.
Rabie Ridge’s Brave Lions FC triumphed over Sgivo with a score of 2–0 at the Mayibuyi grounds on April 6.
The match showcased the tactical strength of the Lions, following their recent win against Tembisa Poison in the Lesedi Innovation Marketing Agency (LIMA) programme, allowing them to walk away with a score of 3–1.
The Lions were hell bent on getting full possession of the match, leading them to their first goal by striker John Pontso, leaving the hosts feeling nothing but pain and anger towards the Brave Lions. The Lions coach, Proff Sibanda, said: “We made it out of a very hostile environment.”

Sgivo were given a corner kick, but the Brave Lions defenders made sure it didn’t enter the net. TheLions second goal of the day was scored by Lwazi Msimango.
Lions have played in three matches since the beginning of the U17 tournament, and, in each game, they have managed to come out as winners, leading them to the finals which will take place on April 18 on the Mayibuyi grounds.

Sibanda said: “Despite the referee adding close to twenty minutes of extra time, our boys still managed to stay strong and push through. We are very happy that we made it to the finals, and during this week, and the next upcoming week, we will be training hard to make sure that we take the title home.”
