Notice: Scheduled power interruption for parts of Midrand
Parts of Midrand will be without electricity on May 15 as City Power conducts essential maintenance work.
A scheduled power interruption is set to leave parts of Midrand without electricity for eight hours on Thursday, May 15. The outage is expected to start at 09:00 and end at 17:00
According to City Power, the power interruption is part of its bid to improve service delivery.
”The interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on our network,” said the power utility.

Areas affected by the outage include:
- Heather Road
- Kingsway Road
- Church Street
- Grand central Boulevard
- Moritz Avenue
- North Street
- Lupton Drive
- Broadway Walk
- Nupen
- McDonald
- Aitken
- Part of Richards
- Pendullum
- Jabilee and Nupen
Despite the outage being estimated to last for eight hours, City Power has advised its customers to take caution by treating supply points as live.
