While competing for the Miss Waterfall SA title, young model Caroline Mangane from Ivory Park urges a new generation to embrace leadership, advocating for fearless daughters and respectful sons.
Caroline Mangane is making a significant impact in the world of modelling, driven by her mission to empower young women to shine.
“As an independent modern woman, a nation builder, and a model, I relate to the modern woman. I, too, wear many hats and juggle numerous tasks, but I see myself as just one of many women in this era.
“We are brave, ambitious, and powerful women who often don’t give ourselves the credit we deserve or allow ourselves to lean in. In business and politics, the number of women in leadership roles is grossly disproportionate compared to our male counterparts.”

Hailing from Ivory Park, this rising star is deeply passionate about creating opportunities for aspiring models to showcase their true potential in today’s dynamic landscape.
Currently a finalist in the fourth annual Miss Waterfall South Africa pageant, Mangane is eager to pursue the crown. “Winning would be unexpected, but it would absolutely be a dream come true for me.”
As the modelling industry evolves rapidly, influenced by digital trends and an increasing focus on sustainability, Mangane is well-positioned to make a powerful impact. “The modelling industry is undergoing significant changes, driven by digital transformation, shifting consumer values, and new forms of talent discovery. With an increased focus on sustainability, the industry is moving towards eco-conscious practices, with models aligning themselves with brands that prioritise these values.”

However, the 26-year-old is not just about glitz and glamour; she is a strong advocate for self-love and well-being. “I believe in putting health above mere appearance. We should prioritise overall well-being over physical looks.
“Believe in yourself and follow your dreams. Have goals in life and a drive for success. Surround yourself with people or things that make you happy.”
Looking to the future, Mangane is eager to explore the world of acting. “Models possess the natural charisma and performance skills needed to shine in film, television, or theatre.”
