Rabie Ridge’s Golden Oldies receive slippers and warm socks

To celebrate the work they do raising children and grandchildren, the members of the Golden Oldies Social Club were gifted slippers and warm socks to brave winter.

In an intimate, highly powerful, and ubuntu par excellence session, members of the Golden Oldies Social Club were presented with slippers and warm socks to brave the cold winter.

The initiative, hosted by Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southern Africa – Rabie Ridge Congregation, took place at the local community hall on July 9.

The elders came in their numbers, joined by pastors, Ward 110 councillor Angie Mphaho, sponsors 21st Century Life, representative from the MMC of Development Planning, and organisers.

The session aimed to celebrate the members for the huge role they play in the community, especially the raising of children, and grandchildren.

All 75 club members were excited to receive the warm gifts, some saying they will use them to go to church and to attend club meetings in future.
