The GPS co-ordinates led the officials to an open veld on Modderfontein Road, where both vehicles were found abandoned.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Northern Region Task Team officers successfully recovered two reported stolen vehicles in the Midrand area.

On July 2, at approximately 08:22, while conducting crime prevention operations, the officers acted promptly upon receiving information from a tracking company.

According to the metro’s spokesperson, Zweli Dlamini, the vehicles – a red VW and a silver Audi – were reported stolen during a house robbery in President Park, prompting a case to be opened at the Midrand Police Station.
