Rabie Ridge police investigate after body found with head injuries

Police are seeking information following the discovery of an adult male's body near the intersection of Modderfontein and Rietduiker roads.

Rabie Ridge police have opened a murder case after the body of an adult man was discovered near the entrance to Rabie Ridge on the corner of Modderfontein and Rietduiker roads.

The body was found in the early hours of March 23 at a park near Rabie Ridge Stadium. It is understood that the deceased had sustained head injuries.

Emergency services and law enforcement officers were called to the scene and responded shortly after the discovery. The body was later removed and taken to the mortuary for further investigation.

Ekurhuleni District Police spokesperson Captain Nelda Sekgobela confirmed that a murder case has been opened at Rabie Ridge Police Station and that no arrests have been made.

“The police are appealing to anyone who might have information regarding the suspect or suspects to come forward,” said Sekgobela.

Police have urged members of the community who may have information that could assist the investigation to contact the Rabie Ridge SAPS Community Service Centre on 071 675 6839.
