Birthday celebration brings joy at Lanto Montessori pre-school
Singing, smiles, and beautiful decorations filled the air at Lanto Montessori pre-school as the young learners celebrated their birthdays in a very special way.
Right before school closes for the Easter holidays, Lanto Montessori Pre-School celebrated the birthdays of all learners whose birthdays were in January, February, and March.
The birthday celebrations, celebrated on March 26, are held every term to give all the learners an opportunity to celebrate their friend’s birthdays.
Celebrating birthdays is an important aspect at the pre-school, giving learners beautiful memories and a strong foundation of self-admiration.

The celebration had fun activities, music, and treats to keep the learners entertained and engaged throughout the day.
According to the school’s marketing manager, Hopkins Kaira, it is important for young children to learn the importance of celebrating birthdays, because it gives them confidence and something to talk about. It also contributes to their development, as they develop friendships amongst each other during the festivities.
“We’re bringing the children together so that they see and feel that they are cared for. Some children come from homes where birthdays are not celebrated, so we make their day special, by bringing them together and doing a joint birthday for all of them.”
Founder of Lanto Montessori Anna Mojapelo-Difo expressed how having the birthday celebrations made her feel.
“There’s nothing that makes me happier than seeing the joy and excitement of the children, because a birthday, it means so much for the little ones. So, they are always looking forward to the birthday celebrations we have here at school.”

Teachers and staff members made the day a memorable one with the festivities they set out for the learners. This left the young learners filled with joy as they were singing and dancing throughout the party.

Principal of the school Linah Ramonyai extended her gratitude towards the teachers for dedicating their time to making the day a memorable and fun one for the learners.
“I just want to say big ups to my team, because they’ve dedicated themselves to this day. Seeing that, as they do their teaching, they also think about the children’s birthday, is very nice.
So, to see everything coming out as such a beautiful success, I become very happy.”
