“It’s really an honour to be chosen to be a part of this in such a big way and it’s a wonderful opportunity to give an admission to the athletes and the coaches on our premise. We love our sport. We’ve got a beautiful facility here and that is just another way of us giving something back.”

Schools from 15 Gauteng districts were selected as part of the team that will represent Gauteng in the National School Sport Championships, a proud moment for parents and teachers as the best athletes were chosen because of hard work and dedication.

That only happened by dedication, hard work, a lot of talent, and a lot of extra time and building. Enjoy the experience, bring it back to school, ignite the fire with other athletes, show them that it’s possible to get your provincial colours and represent your province at the national championships.”

Curro also made the cut, as two of their learners were chosen to be part of the team. This left Kgotso Lefifi, a Grade 10 learner, expressing his joy at this achievement.
“It definitely comes with a lot of pressure, but I know, with the assistance and support of my school, my friends, and my family, it helps a lot and helps me to stay composed. I feel proud to represent my school. Not only my school but Gauteng.”
