Region A Customer Centre reopens after two-month closure

Residents of Midrand can now access some municipal services at the Region A Customer Service Centre, following a two-month closure for renovations.

The Region A Customer Service Centre has been partially reopened after being closed for almost two months due to renovations.

The only operational service is the Revenue Services Department; the others are still closed.

Residents can now visit the service centre to access services such as account queries, billing and opening new accounts.

Ward 112 councillor Lerato Mphefo commented on the opening of the centre after she conducted an oversight visit.

“I have gone inside the customer service centre, and I have seen where the revenue offices, cashiers and waiting area are, and all I can say is that it is a work in progress from the last time I was here.

“At least residents can now do walk-ins and fix their revenue issues because it has honestly been a tough time for them after a very long wait since the centre was closed on February 27,” added Mphefo.
