The IIE’s colleges host client breakfast at Waterfall campus

The breakfast took place on November 11 with special guests from various industries.

The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall collaborated with other IIE’s Varsity Colleges – Sandton, Pretoria, and IIE MSA – to host a Client Treat Breakfast.

The breakfast took place on November 11 at the Waterfall campus with industry experts as special guests in attendance.

Among the guests was Tania Boshoff, master in counselling psychology and HPCSA registered psychologist in Pretoria East, who specialises in psychotherapy, corporate skills training, and intellectual and emotional assessments.

Boshoff gave an insightful talk about mental wellness in the workplace, burnout, and how to prioritise focusing on self-care after a long year of hard work.

The industry experts had made themselves available throughout the year and had assisted IIE’s colleges students, especially the final-year students, with getting on the right track before entering the workplace next year.

Talent acquisition director Sub-Saharan Africa for L’Oreal Reuben Morgan, career centre coordinator at The IIE’s Varsity College Pretoria Nandi Nyandeni, career centre coordinator at The IIE’s Varsity College Sandton Relebogile Maomela, and public relations and events coordinator at The IIE’s Varsity College Pretoria Nene Ngobeni.

Career centre coordinator at The IIE’s Waterfall Nomcebo Langa said the informative breakfast was a token of appreciation for each and every company that took time out of their schedule this year to visit the IIE’s campuses and collaborate with the students, whether it was to come and talk to the students, to give advice, or to offer graduate or internship programmes.

“In the end, we care about our students and we want to provide them with the best possible opportunities as they take their steps into the world of work. All our clients helped our future leaders in one way or another to make informed decisions regarding their future careers.”
