This weekly publication has become a favourite and I wait every Thursday to get my copy.
The edition I received on 29 August [contained] a letter on “the different rules for taxi drivers.” On a daily basis I personally witness taxi drivers break road rules to a point where I have to make my voice heard.
During peak hours, taxis disobey road rules on main roads in Midrand, all this to the detriment of other road users. The taxi drivers’ actions range from suddenly stopping anywhere, to the disregard of road rules.
This sometimes occurs in full view of Metro police officers who seem to let this go.
It is time for law enforcers to do their job and take action against lawless taxi drivers.
