Midrand United U10 set-piece specialist shares his journey at the club
Midrand United is currently open for registration, and the season will kickstart at the end of January.
Simphiwe Ncube, a talented midfielder and death-ball specialist for Midrand United U10, recently shared his experience of scoring a hat-trick against Transition FC last year on September 20.
The 10-year-old player mentioned how the feat helped him build his confidence and love for the beautiful game, especially as it was his birthday.
According to Simphiwe, his career of playing soccer reached a new high with that hat-trick. “It felt like a gift from myself to myself,” he said.
Simphiwe joined Midrand United in March 2021 and has described his experience at the club as great, especially with his friends.
He enjoys meeting players from different teams and finds being at the club helps him stay motivated and disciplined at all times. It has also helped him improve both mentally and physically.
Simphiwe’s inspiration to start playing football was none other than the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.
The young player pictures himself rubbing shoulders with some of the giants of the game and one day being just as famous as Ronaldo. He also mentioned that Ronaldo inspires him as a player and that fulfilling this dream is his ultimate goal.
As a dedicated player, Simphiwe trains three times a week to hone his skills and improve his targets.
He says that he has a powerful shot and takes good free kicks, which helps him score goals.
According to him, a successful player is disciplined, dedicated, committed, and never misses training.
Apart from soccer, Simphiwe is also a fan of rugby and basketball. His resolutions for this year are to work hard, enhance his soccer skills, and score more goals to help his team win their league matches.
“I want to see my team develop and win all matches.”
