Grade 7 learner Tyra Sahadew recently experienced a significant milestone in her cricket journey during her capping ceremony for the Gauteng Central Lions on November 7.

This special occasion was part of the Lions provincial and regional capping ceremony, which recognises the efforts and talents of young athletes.
The prestigious capping ceremony occurred at the iconic DP World Wanderers Stadium. It was a momentous event where an impressive array of talented players and teams received the esteemed honour of officially donning the Pride’s badge.
Tyra competes in club cricket for Wanderers and has displayed some astonishing statistics at her club level. Her recent capping has only intensified her enthusiasm for the sport she loves.
