Summerhill School SA U13 Softball girls finish second in their debut at JSA Top Schools Softball Tournament

Summerhill School SA is overflowing with immense pride and excitement after its U13 girls softball team competed in the prestigious annual JSA Top Schools Softball Tournament, finishing in an impressive second place.

This highly regarded tournament, held on March 15, draws participation from numerous esteemed schools across Gauteng, providing a valuable opportunity for talented young athletes to showcase their skills and vie for the championship title.

According to Robert Gray, Summerhill’s sports coordinator, this marked a historic moment for the school, as it was the first time the U13 girls’ softball team participated in this significant event.

Their remarkable journey ended with them proudly claiming the runners-up position, which is a tremendous accomplishment for the team.

“On top of this great achievement, our girls were personally invited by the JSA Association to attend trials to see if they have what it takes to qualify for the regional softball team,” said Gray.
