Young baller wins Ball Game SA 1-v-1 challenge

Futbol Alliance and Summerhill School SA are celebrating the outstanding achievement of young athlete Cael Connor Young, who recently triumphed in the One v One Challenge at the Ball Game SA Soccer Five v Five Tournament.
Ball Game SA is a platform that unites development clubs from various leagues, supports player development, and highlights younger players on social media.
The One v One Challenge, which takes place before the main Five v Five Tournament, took place on March 29 at the North Astro Turf in Benoni, bringing together the best players from each team to compete head-to-head.

Cael’s father, Angus, expressed immense pride in his son’s achievements, both academically and in sports. “Cael’s passion and dedication shine through in everything he does, putting him in good stead for future challenges,” he said.
Futbol Alliance focuses on youth football development, providing pathways for players to learn fundamental skills. They collaborate with partner clubs such as Northern’s Football Club, Total Football Excellence, and Dynamic Football Excellence.

The alliance also incorporates experienced professional players from top South African and European clubs into its coaching team, aiming to guide aspiring athletes toward achieving their goals in the sport.
