Horsing around at the equestrian trials
KYALAMI - It was a weekend of the sound of hooves and pink ponies during the Polo International Horse Trials in Kyalami.
While the event was an opportunity for horse riders to compete, it also gave the community a chance to enjoy the sun and socialise in Kyalami’s peaceful setting.
The horse-and-rider combinations tackled dressage, cross country and showjumping classes which were held at Kyalami Equestrian Park and Inanda Country Base.
The cross-country leg gave spectators much to marvel over as they watch competitors tackle daring jumps, such as jumping over logs and splash into water.
However, the equestrian sport was not the only excitement on show. Polo brand also took the event as an opportunity to spread awareness for cancer and present the Polo Pink Pony Campaign to raise funds for Cansa.
