The highly anticipated trials were held at the American International School of Johannesburg from January 5 to 10, drawing young hopefuls from across the country. The young left-winger arrived at the trials fresh off an outstanding 2025 season, during which he was crowned Dubula Stars United FC Player of the Season and top goal scorer. His consistency and commitment also saw him captain the Rabie Ridge-based club to their first-ever league title.
“When I joined Dubula Stars,” said Blessing, “I worked hard and focused on what I know best [playing football], and we ended up winning the league.”
While his success has been celebrated, the young captain also reflected on the challenges faced during the Midrand LFA Kanana Stream season, describing the playing conditions as tough at times. “Our season wasn’t easy. When playing away games in Kanana, there were moments where we felt threatened by home teams and even some supporters.”

Despite these obstacles, Blessing’s passion and ambition never wavered. His opportunity to attend the TS Galaxy trials came unexpectedly while scrolling through social media. “I was on TikTok when I saw the TS Galaxy trials poster. I took a screenshot and sent it to my coach, Sydwell Ramakokovhu, and he said we should go.”

Coming from a disadvantaged background, attending the trials required sacrifice and strong family support. Blessing needed approximately R400 for registration, along with transport costs, a challenge his family rose to meet.
Dubula Stars head coach Ramakokovhu praised Blessings’s growth, leadership, and character, describing his progression to the next level as both emotional and rewarding for the club.
“Seeing him move on is bittersweet, but developing young talent is what Dubula Stars stands for. We are proud of him, we fully support his journey, and we know he will represent the club and the community with pride wherever he goes.”
