IN PHOTOS: MEC Vusi Mkhatshwa hosts youth business expo and exhibition in Daggakraal

 Mkhatshwa visited various stalls and engaged with the young entrepreneurs.

As part of commemorating Youth Month, the MEC for finance, economic development and tourism, Vusi Mkhatshwa, actively led a youth business expo and exhibition in Daggakraal on Tuesday June 28.


The expo aimed to engage young people in Daggakraal and surrounds as a response to the challenges and issues they had raised during the recent Taking Legislature to the People (TLP) programme.

This event further sought to assist aspiring SMMEs to register and file annual returns for their business. It aims to create an enabling environment for SMMEs and cooperatives to thrive and find ways in which the provincial government and local entities can better attend to emerging local businesses.

Mkhatshwa was accompanied by officials from the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, the Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency, the National Youth Development Agency, the Small Enterprise Development Agency, the Small Enterprise Finance Agency and several banking institutions.
