Traffic cops to appear in court
The officers are accused of allegedly receiving bribes while execution their duties not only from local motorists but even from international tourists using the roads of the province.

MBOMBELA- Twelve traffic cops arrested in connection with corruption and defeating the ends of justice while doing their duties on various roads of the province will make their second court appearance before the Nelspruit Magistrate’s on Friday (April 22).
The suspects namely Mr Vali Thabo Mokgope (35) ,Ms Precious Phindile Mdluli (37), Ms Fikile Shabangu(29) Mr Selvy Peace Ngobeni (36), Ms Sebenzile Siwela (40), Mr Thabo Succeed Mashigo (29), Mr Molao Reuben Moreku (51) Ms Delco Mashele (33) Mr Alfred Simon Mbatsane (39) Ms Nomcebo Nomsa Mthobeni (39) o, Mr Albert Muzi Motha (45) and Mr Cleopas Vusi Mabuza (35).
The 12 officials were arrested by members of the Hawks in Mpumalanga who launched an operation after receiving information that there were traffic officers who were involved in corrupt activities. The officers are accused of allegedly receiving bribes while execution their duties not only from local motorists but even from international tourists using the roads of the province.
They are all out R5000 bail each.
