Eight suspects denied bail
The eight suspect Robert Makabande (35) is still in hospital under police guard.
KRIEL- Eight suspects arrested in connection with attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearms was denied bail by the Kriel Magistrate Court yesterday.
The suspects; Petra December Nkosi, (31), Sipho Mahlangu (35),Collen Mabuza(51),Willington Ceneda (36),Eddie Kekana (35),Sam Masinga(41), John Rahube (35) were remanded in custody and the case postponed for formail bail application on August 24.

They were initially arrested after members of Hawks followed a tracker’s information s about a hijacked BMW which was found at a certain house in Kriel where the suspects started shooting at the police injuring one of them on his shoulder. The police retaliated and one of the suspects was fatally wounded with the eight suspects were arrested.
