Armed men robbed pensioner

According to police information a 63-year-old man was attacked while he was working at the field together with his employee at his small holding at Sterkspruit in Ngodwana.

MBOMBELA- The police are looking for three suspects who robbed a senior citizen of various items estimated to the value of R416 000 last Thursday.

According to police information a 63-year-old man was attacked while he was working at the field together with his employee at his small holding at Sterkspruit in Ngodwana.

At about 10:00, the employee asked to go to the toilet but took longer than expected to return and that was when the old decided to go to look for him.

He knocked at the toilet’s door without any success and decided to open it and that was when he was apparently knocked down, chocked and tied with wires.

A media release from the police stats that the man managed to untie himself at a later stage and proceeded to open the toilet door where he found his employee also tied up.

After untying him they both went to check in the main house where they that a safe was open and seven firearms (including an airgun) were missing. A Camera, wrist watch,laptop, and a cellphone and his Nissan Juke were also missing.

The vehicle was later found abandoned between Sabie and White River.
No arrests had made so far.
