Suspect arrested for murder in Kanyamazane

Yesterday he was not asked to plead to two charges of murder and attempted murder when he appeared in the KaNyamazane Magistrate’s Court.

A 34-year-old man will appear in the KaBokweni Magistrate’s Court today.

The suspect was arrested on July 9 around 00:30 near Endumbeni bar where he allegedly fired random shots at his ex-girlfriend, the ex’s friend and his wife after a quarrel.

According to Lt Jabu Ndubane, spokesperson for the Pienaar Cluster police, the suspect was waiting in his car for his wife to return from the bar.

The wife was followed by his ex-girlfriend and her friend, swearing at the suspect. Immediately after this, the shooting took place.

The ex’s friend died at the local clinic. While the other two victims were rushed  to Rob Ferreira hospital in a critical condition, where the ex-girlfriend also died. –
