Malema rallies EFF supporters at Nsikazi Stadium
The party wants water and electricity costs scrapped to ease pressure on vulnerable households.
EFF supporters who gathered at Nsikazi Stadium on Saturday said they were ready to cast their votes in the upcoming local government elections, hoping to see their service delivery concerns addressed.
Speaking at the rally, EFF leader Julius Malema called on residents to vote for the EFF on November 4.
Community member Rebotile Mashele said the party always gives its best to its people.

“I have seen the work the EFF has done for its people, whether you are its follower or not. I will give them my vote because I know that whatever they promise us, they will give it to us,” said Mashele.

Free services pledged
Malema said social grant beneficiaries should be exempted from paying for water and electricity, adding that the party wants to ease the financial burden on vulnerable households.
“The mayor is waiting, is warming up and ready to take the office,” said Malema.

He noted that the EFF mayoral candidate is ‘not an old man’.
“We gave you the energy, the energy that you want. You must give yourself a reason why you are going to vote for the EFF.”
While Malema campaigned across Mpumalanga, the party placed emphasis on service delivery and access to basic care.
