Three unarmed suspects rob tourists on the N17

The men robbed the tourists of laptops, cash, cellphones including a passport before fleeing the scene leaving one injured on the left eye.

Ten British tourists were robbed en route to Swaziland on the N17 road near Chrissismeer last Thursday evening.

According to information at police disposal, two children who were part of the tourists’ convoy requested to relieve themselves, then a grey Volkswagen Polo emerged with three men who were unarmed.

No arrests have been made yet and the police request anyone who may assist with information regarding the incident to contact Captain Sipho Nkosi on 082 565 7322 or the SAPS Crime Line, 08600 10111.
