Man arrested for allegedly burying girlfriend in suitcase
It is alleged that the suspect confessed to his family that he killed his girlfriend and buried her in the yard three months ago.
MHALA- A 21-year-old man will appear before the Mhala Magistrate’s Court today for the murder of his girlfriend.
The suspect was arrested on Saturday after his family handed him over to the police for reportedly confessing that he killed his girlfriend and buried her in the yard three months ago. The incident occurred in Agincourt village near Bushbuckridge.
Upon investigation, the suspect confessed that he assaulted her with a blunt object on her head after they had had an argument. He then put her in a suitcase and buried her in the yard. Police were called to the scene where a decomposed body was found.

The suspect was remanded in custody pending bail application and will appear in court today.
