MBOMBELA – The Ligwalagwala FM’s iJob iJob campaign continues to touch and change the lives of the ordinary citizens.
Spearheaded by the afternoon drive show host, DJ Shabba, this campaign will see another lucky listener being hired on a full-time basis at one of the country’s leading retailers, Makro.
“We have received over 200 CVs from the general public which shows the impact of the campaign and the eagerness of the youth when it comes to employment.
Remember, this campaign is to encourage all the young people out there to take up and do any job rather than sitting around and be choosy. This will help them gain work experience so that when their dream job come along they are ready.
As a station behind this campaign we are very excited about the impact and the results of this campaign since it started,” said the satiation manager, Mr Rio Mabunda.
The shortlisted candidates underwent interviews yesterday at Makro offices, with the successful applicant announced live on air by DJ Shabba.
“We couldn’t be happier than to see this campaign touching and changing so many lives. The mentality that we want to implant to the youth is that they need to start somewhere and I am happy to be part of a radio station that gives these young people that head start,” said the host, DJ Shabba.
One of this campaign’s products, Mr Mduduzi Khoza, commenced work at the Kamaqhekeza Galitos in Nkomazi at the beginning of this month.
DJ Shabba will be working as a cleaner at Eskom in KaNyamazane Eskom tomorrow from 8:00 to 11:00.
The station will again be taking CVs accompanied by a motivational letter for the same job DJ Shabba will be doing tomorrow.
