MBOMBELA – A woman cheated death after her vehicle lost control and crashed to the side of a bridge before flying over to a ditch next to the bridge.

Paramedics had to use the Jaws of Life to cut through her vehicle for her to be rescued after she was trapped in the car for about five minutes.

Bystanders told Mpumalanga News that they heard a loud crash and saw the car flying over to the other side but didn’t really see what had caused the accident.

Paramedics and traffic officials were summoned to the scene where they rescued the woman.

Police are yet to respond to what caused the accident.
