Man found dead in his car

KANYAMAZANE – The family and the entire community is still shocked after a man was found dead in the back seat of his car.

According to W/O Andries Skwambane, spokesman for Kanyamazane police, an inquest had been opened and the matter is under investigation.

He said the deceased’s car, with tinted windows, had been parked adjacent to the local police station from Sunday (Dec 3) and no one could see anything in the interior of the car.

On Tuesday (Dec 5) the deceased’s brother came to report a missing person at the station and spotted his brother’s parked car, proceeded to it and searched around and that was when he discovered his missing brother lying dead on the back seat of the car.

“The matter is still under investigation and we cannot state the cause of death at this time,” said Skwambane.

He said no arrests have been made.

Speaking to Mpumalanga News, Mr Richard Ndlovu said he suspected something wrong happened to his young brother, Benedict after he hadn’t communicated with him, after he (deceased) went to see his estranged wife who apparently left him with their children weeks ago following a dispute.

“When he did not come back from speaking with his wife, I got worried because it was unlike him not to say if he was not coming back. His house is next to mine, so checking on him is easy. I got the shock of my life after finding him dead in his car, this is something I still can’t comprehend,” said Richard.
