Suspects sought for murder of Ethopian man

Police are looking for two suspects who entered a Kabokweni spaza shop, shot the owner and fled with airtime and cash.

KABOKWENI – An Ethiopian man (26) was shot in the head on Wednesday when two robbers targeted his spaza shop.

The 26-year-old Ethiopian was tending to his shop in Clau-Clau Trust in Kabokweni near White River, when two unknown, armed men entered his shop at approximately 12:30. They demanded cash and, in the process, shot the shop owner and fled. They stole airtime and an undisclosed amount of cash. The Ethiopian man was taken to hospital, where he later died.

Police urge anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects, to contact Det. Const. Paul Baloyi on 082-794-8835.
