It’s all systems go

All voting stations will be opened for special voters from 09:00 till 17:00 on Monday and Tuesday.

MBOMBELA – The Independent Electoral Commission has said that it’s all systems go for Wednesday’s elections.

 

Speaking at the launch of the provincial results operational centre, the provincial electoral officer, Mr Steve Ngwenya said that preparations have been thorough, promising the electoral an incredible voting experience.
“I can safely say that we are ready to deliver credible, free and fair elections during this year’s voting season which has been the most contested with 16 political parties contesting for votes,” he stated.
Ngwenya also indicated that all stakeholders have bound themselves to ensure the enhancing and deepening democracy in the country.
“Political leaders have signed a pledge to adhere to all rules and regulations during elections, to be tolerant and to work with us towards reducing conflict,” he added.
He also stated that more ballot papers have been printed and assured media houses that there will be no shortages and that transparency was their main priority.
Mpumalanga results will be verified and released from the Mpumalanga Provincial Disaster Management Centre .
