HAZYVIEW – Police are looking for six fugitives who escaped from lawful custody at Hazyview Police Station on Sunday afternoon.
Two police officials were serving food to trial awaiting prisoners through the security grill door, when they were manhandled by the fugitives and forcefully took the cell keys then opened the cell door.
According to the police, the thugs handcuffed and tied both police officials with a rope which was cut from a cell blanket and robbed them of their personal belongings, and proceeded to the safe where they took a firearm and fled.
The details of the fugitives are as follows:
1. Monde Mokoena (36) arrested for series of crimes ranging from attempted car-jacking, five counts of rape, three counts of house robberies and other serious offences.
2. Adolf Nkuna (36) for four counts of rape and unlawful possession of unlicensed firearm.
3. Wonder Sibuyi (23) for two counts of rape, two house robberies and murder.
4. Bongani Nkosi (22) for rape.
5. Gerald Morodi (25) for murder.
6. Peace Khoza (23) for rape and assault.
