MNGANDUZWENI – Residents in this area have  said that they are still frustrated about the lack of water in the community.

According to Ms Lungile Nonyane, villagers walk a distance to fetch water from the wells and at times they fall victims of criminals who wait for them to mug them on their way to and from fetching water.

“How long must we suffer. When it’s time for elections we hear of all sorts of promises but nothing gets fulfilled. We are fed up,” she said.

Another resident echoed Nonyane’s frustration adding that they do not want to act like savages by vandalising properties and protesting so that they can be heard.

“We just wish the government could try to be in our shoes for once and see if they could live in such conditions,” he said.
