MBOMBELA- A suspect and his friend were lucky to survive an accident after attempting to steal a vehicle in town over the weekend.
The accident happened on Saturday near MacDonalds where the two tried to steal a car and were disturbed on the process.
“They were disturbed while trying to steal the car and fled in their City Golf but were involved in an accident with a truck when they skipped a red robot at Crossing,”explained Sgt Gerald Sedibe.
“One of them was admitted to Rob Ferreira Hospital with serious injuries and is under police guard , while the driver was arrested. He faces charges of attempted theft of a motor-vehicle and negligent driving,” continued Sedibe.
