
MBOMBELA – It has been a long and agonising wait and with their loved onesfinally brought home for a proper burial, many families are still far from laying the Nigerian saga to rest.
Of the 23 Mpumalanga victims, only 18 bodies were brought back on Sunday,with the others left behind apparently due to DNA sampling that still needed to beconducted by Nigerian authorities.
During the memorial service that was held in remembrance of the “martyrs of faith” at the Mpumalanga Disaster Management Centre on Monday, MEC forsocial development, Ms Nomsa Mtshweni said with the mortal remains back, familie would now have an opportunity to close this book.
