Woman stabbed to death
It is alleged that the woman had multiple bruises on her hands, face and a stab wound on the left side of her chest.
WHITE RIVER – Whilst the celebrations of the 16 Days of Activism against the abuse of Women and Children continues, a woman was brutally murdered yesterday at Yarvaland Farm, which is about 15km from White River CBD.
The local police were summoned to the farm around 12:30 and upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body with blood stains all over her bedroom and furniture turned upside down.
“A bloody knife was found near her body which was only covered with a blanket on the bed, whilst the handle of the knife was on the floor,” said a reliable source who went to the scene and opted to remain anonymous.
It is further alleged that the victim had multiple bruises on her hands, face and a stab wound on the left side of her chest.
Capt Gugu Phiri spokesperson of White River police confirmed that the woman was found covered with a blanket and declared dead on the scene by EMS officials.
Investigation in the matter still continues and people with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects are urged to contact the Whiter River police on 013 7500 888.
No arrests had been made so far.
