Rape is still a concern in Nkomazi
A 29-year-old male was arrested for sexual assault on Sunday. According to Tonga SAPS, the ordeal happened at Kamhlushwa around midnight, when a 20 year old female alleged that she was in the house when she heard the knock.
TONGA: A 29-year-old male was arrested for sexual assault on Sunday. According to Tonga SAPS, the ordeal happened at Kamhlushwa around midnight, when a 20 year old female alleged that she was in the house when she heard the knock.
“When she opened the door the suspect who’s known to her, demanded to sleep with her but she refused, and that’s when he grabbed and pushed her on the floor and forcefully raped her.
The suspect allegedly took out R50.00 and put it on her bed and fled the scene on foot,” said Lieutenant Mzwandile Nyambi of Tonga SAPS.
The victim who is now undergoing treatment and counselling, reported the case to the Police and the suspect was then arrested. The suspect is expected to appear in Tonga magistrate court soon.
