Malema fights for land

MASOYI – The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) commander-in-chief, Mr Julius Malema, has told the gathering of more than 8 000 members that economic liberation will not come until they have land.
He said people should have access to land and made a call to government to provide it for the masses.
He further told the gathering that the former ANC leaders, Messrs Oliver Tambo, Walter Sisulu, Nelson Mandela and the PAC’S Robert Sobukwe died fighting for land and therefore the struggle should continue.
“What is freedom without the land? Freedom means that you must have access to land. We are going to fight for our land until all of our people have a piece of land,” Malema said.
He was speaking during the EFF’s local government election campaign in Masoyi last Saturday. Malema and national leaders of the EFF including Mr Godrich Gardee and provincial chairperson, Mr Collen Sedibe, spent the entire week in the province visiting various communities, with the aim of learning of their problems and challenges.
Malema made their intentions of winning Mbombela, Bushbuckridge and Ehlanzeni municipalities clear after next year’s local government.
Addressing the masses about his interaction with local communities, Malema said, “This province is very rich with natural resources in abundance and yet the people are poor. There are beautiful parks and people come as far as Europe and America to see your parks and you don’t get a cent. Even the companies that do cleaning services for these parks are from Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal and you, you have nothing.
“There is no organisation that fights for farm workers, domestic workers, the poor and the unemployed. The EFF is for all of you. The EFF is a fighting tool for all of you,” he ended.
