Five Tips to avoid being mugged
The winter season keeps most people indoors, but more criminals take this time to do criminal activities.

People are highly in possibilities to be robbed during this time of the year, we take buses early and its dark out-sides. Here are the five tips to avoid being mugged in winter.
1. Walk in groups-walk as a group to a station than walking alone because it is so dark during that time. There is safety in numbers. Muggers are less likely to target groups than individuals.
2. Use straight roads, avoid shortcuts-Walking along streets that are well, wide enough will help keep you out of the dark and shortcut may save you a few minutes.
3. Look confident-muggers sense your confidence walk. Constantly looking over your shoulder can make you look nervous. Stand tall, look sure of yourself and walk with confidence.
4. Don’t wear headphones-Be aware of your surroundings. Walking with headphones isolates one of your senses all together, making you more vulnerable, you may use one earphone maybe.
5. If you feel threatened- Cross the street, Pause, Go into a business; Make yourself appear unattractive because engaging in such socially unacceptable behavior makes you less appealing.
