Two suspects sought for dual rape

The victims are undergoing treatment and counselling and investigations are under-way.

TONGA – Two 21-year-old women were raped by two unknown African males over the weekend at Block A Trust.

According to the local police, one of their officials was on duty when he received information of a house robbery.

Upon arrival at the house he found the two young girls traumatized.

“One of the victim alleged that they were asleep when they were awaken by noise of the door being opened, suddenly they were approached by two unknown men who tied them with shoe laces and undressed them.

She further alleged that one suspect raped her while his accomplice raped her sister.

The suspects then took a blanket and fled the scene on foot,” said the police.

The victims are undergoing treatment and counselling and investigations are under-way.

The station commander Brig Velsiwe Mdaka has appealed to the community members to assist with information that may lead to the arrest of these suspects by contacting Capt Mkhatshwa at 079 501 5053.
