Accident causes massive traffic on R40
Traffic was delayed this morning as three vehicles collided with each other on the busy R40 road between White River and Mbombela.
MBOMBELA-The accident happened straight at the crossroad from the main road to the University of Mpumalanga, formerly the Agricultural College, at around 07:40 causing a massive traffic jam on the already busy road.
Nelspruit police spokesperson Capt Dawie Pretorius confirmed the accident and said there were severe injuries. “No one was critical injured, and the cause of the accident is still under police investigations,” he said.
Speaking to other road users, Mpumalanga News learnt that motorists complain of the lack speed humps and other road signs to compel motorists to reduce their speed on that road.
