Patients are facing difficulties at Barberton hospital

" I am feeling dizzy and weak but no one is assisting me since we were told at the gate that cars are not allowed inside "

BARBERTON – Patients who are using vehicles to get to Barberton General Hospital are facing though times at the entrance.

Mpumalanga News learnt that some of the patients were forced to walk from the main entrance to the causality even though they are feel weak.


This comes after the management of the hospital ordered securities at the gate not to allow vehicles inside the hospital as
they are busy with installing a new gate. 


This reporter visited the hospital yesterday and discovered that the gate was closed with big pole and stones to ensure that motorist respect the order of the hospital.


Some of the patients indicated that it’s unfair to them to walk from the gate while they are feeling sick.


One of the patients who do not want to reveal his name to this publication said


“They should have organised wheelchairs to come and fetch us from the gate. I am feeling dizzy and weak but no one is assisting me since we were told at the gate that cars are not allowed inside so my family dropped me outside the gate ”he said.
